Fast growing EVERGREEN plant with attractive foliage which coMEs in several different varieties. Considered best suited for hedging or topiary but can be developed into an attractive BONSAI>BONSAI>BONSAI. Pittosporum bonsai are rare.

STYLE : Best suited to informal upright.

Care Info

PITTOSPORUM -

REPOT : Annually in a deepish pot when young then at increasing interval based on root growth.

SOIL : Grows in most soil types as long as they are free draining. 40:60 GRIT:organic is ideal.

PRUNE : Prune in later winter/early spring.

PINCH: Trim new SHOOTS to SHAPE during growing season.

WATER : Water well in growing season, sparingly in winter.

FEED : Apply BALANCED FEED in spring, heavy nitrogen feed in sumMEr and nitrogen free feed in autumn to encourage root development.
