BLEEDING -

The excessive loss of sap from the newly cut surface of a plant. This natural protection is unsightly on BONSAI>BONSAI>BONSAI and can be minimised by avoiding PRUNING susceptible SPECIES when the sap is likely to be rising such as in spring or soon after WATERING.
