Tender, EVERGREEN shrub with strongly fragrant FLOWERS which appear in early/late sumMEr. LEAVES are glossy green and lance SHAPEd, borne in WHORLs of 3.

STYLE : Suited to informal upright, slanting, semi-cascade, root-over-rock, twin-trunk, CLUMP and multiple trunk.

WARNING : This lime-hating plant needs lime free water and ericaceous soil and fertilizer.


Care Info

GARDENIA (GARDENIA JASMINOIDES) -

REPOT : Every 1 to 2 years in late spring.

SOIL : LiME-fee soil mix essential.

PRUNE : Branches should be pruned after flowering.

PINCH: Constantly pinch out new SHOOTS to maintain SHAPE.

WATER : Water well (DAI>DAIly) in growing season and keep moist in winter.

FEED : Ericaceous feed every 2 weeks during growing season. Reduce to half strength in winter.

WARNING : This lime-hating plant needs lime free water and ericaceous soil and fertilizer.
