A climber with oval, light green leaves and coloured, flower-like bracks (a modified leaf that supplements or takes the place of a leaf).

STYLE : Best suited to full or semi cascade, or literati.

WARNING : Insufficient light and too much or too little water may deter flowering.

Care Info

REPOT : Every 3-4 years in spring. Use deep pot to keep roots insulated from the heat.

SOIL : Free draining soil : 30:70 grit:organic.

PRUNE : Major branch pruning in winter.

PINCH: Prune out current years growth after flowering in early autumn, after flowering.

WATER : Almost dry in winter and evenly moist (never saturated) in growing season.

FEED : Low nitrogen during growing season. Chelated iron may improve colour of the bracts.

WARNING : Insufficient light and too much or too little water may deter flowering.
