Second Sunday of every month 1.30pm in Alloway Village Hall
This months Programme - December 2019 for Ayrshire Bonsai
Hi Ayrshire Group Members. As of tomorrow it is officially Winter but mother nature has made that very clear to us today with her bitterly cold reminder! Our next scheduled meeting is next Sunday the 8th December 2019 - Alloway village Hall as usual with start time of 1.30pm. This will be our Christmas meet so don't forget your Secret Santa Gift and bring a sharp pencil to undertake the Christmas Quiz. As usual bring something for display table (festive or otherwise?) and there will be usual refreshment and banter on hand. The following week - Sunday 15th December will be our Christmas Lunch Meet at Savoy Park Hotel, Racecourse Road, Ayr - 12.30pm for 1pm. At present I have seventeen (17) attending. Two courses will be £16.00 and three courses £18.50 - please oblige and bring cash to cover what you have on the day.
First Thursday of the month 7.45pm Currie Scout Hall, Lanark Road, Currie. Near Sainsbury's Petrol station. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. There is a small charge to cover the hall fee.
This months Programme - December 2019 for Edinburgh Bonsai
Thursday 5th Dec 19.50-22.00pm
Winter care of trees, when we have such variable weather and temperatures, can present a challenge. We can have a chat about how to cope whilst working on our trees. Yews and larches benefit from work at this time of year. Tuesday 10th December 19.30pm is Penicuik's festive spectacular, food, drink and decorated trees, it's great fun. Let Dave or me know if you plan to go, please, so they have numbers for catering. See you soon!

Next months Programme January 2020 -
Hi all,
Our next meeting is Tuesday 7th. January and the theme is Fertilizers.
Unless they are frozen, I as usual would like to see as many trees as possible on display, remember, members will often give some constructive criticism and comments on trees which very often improves the tree.
First Sunday of every month from midday . Wattston Open day Saturday prior to club day. New members welcome.

This months Programme - December 2019 for Penicuik Bonsai
Tuesday 10th December, Penicuik town hall, 7.30 pm
We’ll have an evening of nibbles and general chat. If you’re inclined then bring a decorated Christmas bonsai tree for display – they are always lovely to look at. Keith will bring our group project juniper, kindly donated by Alison. He has, following an extensive reduction of unwanted branches more than two years ago, maintained it in excellent health and improved its structure. But now it needs a more detailed plan for its future style. There are plenty of options, so a good discussion of possibilities to find the best one should be entertaining and instructive. Penicuik and Edinburgh members welcome.
